5.05 – Communicate Your Story In Your Ads
We hope this chapter gets you inspired to connect more deeply with your customers not only to help your bottom line, but also to enrich the Facebook News Feed with actual good content instead of the lazy ads more advertisers choose to push in front of us. Story makes your ads better and raises the stakes for every other advertiser.
In Feedstories we use why, what, and who questions to both prepare someone for a video session but also to produce ads for Facebook. We’ve provided you a few of the questions that you can ask yourself, or better yet, have someone ask you.
We like to encourage people to answer these questions out loud and record. Then, you can transcribe the audio and turn your answers into your advertising copy!
“Why” Questions to Answer
Why do I do what I do?
Why did I get into this business? (There’s always a triggering event.)
Why do customers love doing business with me?
Why can our products and services change lives?
“What” Questions to Answer
What’s my background?
What is my superpower? Most people don’t know their own superpower. They take it for granted. If you don’t know this, send an email to five to ten of your closest friends and ask, “What are my biggest strengths?” Or for a deeper study check out the “Definitive Selling Proposition” course-link the is available on the Resource page at www.PerryMarshall.com/fbtools.
What’s the story behind my product or service?
What problem does my product and service really solve?
What does it do better than any other product?
“Who” Questions to Answer
Who is my customer-what are their burning needs and desires?
Who has had success or transformation because of my products or services?
Who can give me testimonials and reviews to establish my credibility?
Who has published stories about me in print or online I can talk about or reference?
